Andrew Carnegie was a 19th century steel magnate who became single of the 20th century’s mainly well-known philanthropists. His life story is one of the large rags-to-riches descriptions in combined States history. Born in Scotland, Carnegie enthused to Pennsylvania with his family in 1848 and began effective in factories as a teenager. Hard work and a wise savings in a sleeping car company during the 1850s led to Carnegie’s untimely achievement in the force selling as well since the economic world. In 1901 Carnegie strengthens merged with the U.S. Steel Corporation and Carnegie sold out to J.P. Morgan for $480 million, creation Carnegie the richest man in the world.
